B-Roll Finder
Search millions of free stock videos and photos, preview on hover, and import in one click — without leaving Premiere.
What it does
B-Roll Finder searches Pexels and Pixabay — both video and photos — from inside the panel. Hover any result to preview it, pick the exact resolution from the corner of the card, and import to a tidy “PrimCut B-Roll” bin or straight onto your timeline without disturbing the clips around it. No browser tabs, no downloads folder, no re-importing. It's free and works out of the box — no account or API key to set up.
Key features
- Two libraries, one search — Pexels and Pixabay results side by side, videos and photos.
- Hover previews — clips play right on the card, so you audition before you import.
- Pick your resolution — up to 4K where available, with a sensible 1080p default so downloads stay quick.
- Real filters — orientation, duration, resolution, plus people, age and colour filters where the library supports them.
- Saved search chips — keep your go-to queries one click away.
- Timeline-safe import — lands on a free track without rippling or overwriting your existing edit.

Frequently asked questions
Is B-Roll Finder really free?
Yes — it's part of PrimCut's free tier and stays free forever, even after a trial ends. No account or API key needed; it works out of the box.
Can I use the footage commercially?
The footage comes from Pexels and Pixabay, whose licenses allow free use in commercial projects without attribution in most cases. For specifics, see pexels.com/license and pixabay.com's license summary.
What resolutions can I download?
Whatever the clip offers — up to 4K on many clips. By default PrimCut picks the best quality at or below 1080p, and every card has a picker to override it.
Will importing mess up my timeline?
No. Timeline imports pick a free video track and never ripple your existing clips — your edit stays exactly where it was.
